It could. It looks like it did. How? Borderline compromised chronic cardiovascular disease is basically unstable hemodynamically prone to drop of blood pressure particularly in elderly and diabetics when blood volume decrease due to dehydration, elevated blood sugar and or cardiac function depression. Their arterial lumina are narrower in those people due to atheromatous change and suffer from inadequate flow of blood when the former condition prevail, resulting in stroke or heart attack. If blood pressure is kept a bit higher in this situation, one may escape from having stroke or myocardial ischemia. Contrave has Bupropion that can do exactly that.
