I'm more inclined to believe that it's weak hands getting out, you know don't want to wait for the run... NO ONE (Unless you're a MM) can buy below 0001. MM's can sell you shares for that price, buy they'll show up in your portfolio as 0001

I've had PLENTY of 0001's where I slapped the ask for 10, 20, even 50 mill it showed up on L2 as 00009, 00005, and 000094... But soon as I checked my portfolio priced paid is always 0001, So I called Etrade and that is what I was told
