The Nike of Supplements is a little bit exaggerated.

When it comes to branding and multi product development fostering rapid growth, Cytosport, Musclesport and Nutramino (Denmark) have been among the winners. For deveopment and branding of a singular product, Premier Protein and Quest Nutrition have been the winners.

Cytosport and Nutramino spent a lot less money on endorsements and sponsorships compared to Musclepharm though, explaining why they were bought by Hormel foods and Glanbia. Glanbia sells for more than $1 billion in sports nutrition per year.

I would be happy if Glanbia bought Musclepharm for $200 million...less risk for me.
