Nice compendium Karen.
Not directed to anyone in particular, but I thought I'd point out that Brilacidin is not the only arrow in the mimetic quiver; i.e., we got a ton of stuff when we got poly's pipeline.
From my understanding of the mimetics, part of their beauty is that they can be tweaked to modify shape and electrical potential. The charge of the molecule is extremely important in directing it toward the bacteria and not somatic cells. Some of the protein configurations will be effective on certain bacteria while a variant won't, but will affect another bug. So when someone reports that Brilacidin was ineffective against a certain strain of bug, it may well be because Brilacidin was not the proper mimetic to choose for it.
Notice that in the recent PR for 'skin products', Leo mentions HDP mimetics, Human Defense Protein mimetics, not Brilacidin, being developed for these applications. Brilacidin is the name that has been given to a certain molecule, it is not the name of the entire platform.
There's a lot more to come, folks!
