I stand corrected!

That is certainly a newly published article.

All the same, it seems VERY strange to me to see this article from Scheibel in 2015.

Evidently he left Amsilk because the company had decided to terminate development of fiber and he did not want to give it up.

So now he is back in his university teaching job and working on strong fiber development and somehow has the freedom to publish without ascribing any rights to Amsilk?

Although your link shows blurry pics of the article the magazine, not a peer reviewed journal as far as I can see, wants $50 for a readable view.
If any one here has institutional access to this pub. I would appreciate their looking at what appear to be graphs and numbers.
The preface and readable text do not give any real figures.

It is quite probable that this publication is an effort by Scheibel to get funding for his university work.

but any real numbers like stress vs. strain for an e.coli fiber would be interesting.
