It started with a grin I couldn't wipe off my face. Funny that, for a change, I noticed this pr before I looked at the board. This is big, the one I was waiting for. All top people, it looks like. Tatonkano, great information on the scientists. The key words "millions of doses". Unclear myself about animals or humans. I think the whole focus is steps on the path of developing a vaccine for humans. They have come up with an avian flu vaccine. It is preliminary in the sense that the "real" one will only be possible if and when the virus morphs into a form that might easily spread from person to person, something not the case now. But this preliminary work is an important part of the strategy, to demonstrate the vaccine's effectiveness against the virus in its current form. If you recall, the two studies to date (on humans) left much to be desired in terms of demonstrating efficacy. (I posted stories on these). In the first, you needed some 10 times the dose compared with typical flu and even then, it really was a big question mark whether it would work at all against the real McCoy. Hence, the emphasis on a rigourous test of OUR vaccine and all the trouble of doing it in a secure facility - exposing the animals to a rigorous, difficult test using REAL VIRUS. I don't think the other studies have attempted anything like this. One personal comment. I was ready to buy more today, had the money in place but I was busy and I felt I had time. Oh well. This is very big news.

And lastly, I may as well admit it even though it is a bit embarrassing. I have only had an emotional experience with this stock a few times, one that brought me to tears after beginning to ponder the meaning of events. Tonight, minutes ago, was one such moment. Congratulations to the scientists, the whole Cytogenix team and tonight, special mention to those investors, big and small alike, who despite occasional impatience, have stayed on to be part on a night like tonight.
