FWIW, I've posted the $1,500 comparison as well--and believe it or not, that extra $400 for a slightly faster processor, DVD-RW, larger hard drive and black casing is not much worse than Dell's upgrades!

Note that compared with the $1,100 build of the E1405, the $1,500 build adds the following:

1.83 -> 2.0 GHz Core Duo: $200
80 GB hard drive upgrade: $75
DVD±RW upgrade: $60
Sonic DigitalMedia/MyDVD Plus: $79 (to "cancel out" iDVD/etc)
= $414 extra
