"It must still pass the House which has a much lower chance than what occurred in the Senate. With that said, the company is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that House members are educated on the additional layers of tracking and security that the machine provides, including how much tax revenue the receive from every transaction, reported daily.
From citizen's and dispensary owner's letters to lobbyists the company sees the event as key to setting precedent for other states and opening doors to the many other applications for verified vending (beer.)
Simply excluding 'age verifying vending' from the bill would actually protect company interests by reducing the risk of more generic machines entering the marketplace.
