cfpjbs, for me there are good folks like you and others with whom I can enjoy the passing of time while awaiting additional moves. I enjoy your posts and the soundness of your judgement.

Seems like most quality stocks have a life cycle for me.

The Discovery Period, wherein you drive your spouse crazy with talk of the stocks insane undiscovered value.

Due Diligence, where you spend every waking hour trying to find the hidden skeletons and only reinforce your original inclinations. You create a relationship with company personnel and begin to hoard shares.

The Patience period where you have most of your position and you force yourself to search elsewhere for another great stock, yet keep returning because of the knowledge that "it" could run any time. We are sitting here now awaiting the news that will drive share price.

The Big Run where it begins to approach assigned values and you go through the mental debates as to whether you should take more or less off the table and at what point.

The Reminiscence stage where you look back with fondness on a wonderful period of life and second-guess every move you made.

All in all it's just a big addicting Monopoly type game with which you scratch out a living. It is in finding some quality people to share it with that makes the ride worth while.
