I have a question that might sound silly, but I'll ask it anyway.

I see a lot of people posting that the are in it for the long Term / Long Haul. What exactly does that mean or is it just something to get the people going?

Isn't there a golden rule that states every Trader/Investor needs to have an out or exit strategy? I was always told that I need to visualize the threshhold of getting out of a stock, even if the stock keeps rising.

Does long term mean that you guys are waiting for the stock to go over $1.00 or is there a percentage in regards to profit your looking for?

Sometimes, I feel a lot of people are talking on both sides of their mouths. Saying one thing on this forum stay long as they themselves are taking profits as they advise everyone to hold on for dear life.

Help me out as I am new to trading and I am trying to figure out my exit threshold.
