perf- nah, I don't think there is a chance in the world that Morpho "runs" the TSA. The lawyer can rule as he likes but TSA is NOT about to drop the ball now. They will begin to dissolve IMSC machines onto the line and watch their performance very closely. I expect IMSC to deliver sharper adoption curves with less operator errors than any other ETD machine the TSA has used. ( the dumbing down of operator interactions makes them faster and easier to operate). Also, the first user experiences should be very laudatory and that confirms TSA's belief in what they have done.
It hasn't been easy for TSA, in spite of stellar data, in spite of A+ in-house testing results, in spite of 2 certification processes against new subs-new surfaces...why the trepidation?
The competitive flak has been "humongous". I believe that has slowed down TSA's embrace and caused some hedging. For instance, TSA never wanted ETDs with nuclear material yet they only partially kicked them to the curb during the last solicitation period. They hedged on the possibility that IMSC could not "deliver" ( deliver having the broadest definition possible). Yet they know the B-220 they tested was "straight As".
Also, if either S or M are going to move on IMSC, now would be the time to do that. IMO.
