TCP International Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: TCPI) tumbled 40 percent after the company's chief lawyer filed suit against the company and its chief executive.
The light-emitting diode maker changed hands recently at $3.80, down $2.61 (40.7 percent).
The civil lawsuit was filed against TCP on Thursday in Cuyahoga County Courthouse in Cleveland by Laura Hauser, who has served as TCP's general counsel and secretary since 2013.
The suit also named as a defendant TCP's Chief Executive Ellis Yan and the company's Technical Consumer Products unit.
Hauser is represented by attorney Andrew A. Kabat of Cleveland.
