Slide deployment would have been an issue on any Baltia plane, because they would have been packed by the same company. A company, that appears to be on the verge of losing their certification. I believe that whenever it was 'being investigated', after previous failed mini-evacs, that it was the packing company the FAA was concerned with investigating.
