What’s going on with HURN, why the huge earnings miss for this successful and sophisticated management consulting company and how will this sit with HURN’s institutional shareholders which own in excess of 90% of the outstanding shares?

HURN is a great company, but what happened yesterday to create the 12.9% collapse on heavy volume? HURN closed at $74.47 on 2/24/15, but dropped to close at $64.89 on 2/25/15 on trading volume of 1.658 million shares, the highest trading volume since 2009; let’s hope that it’s not another accounting scandal.

I was hoping that HURN would have clear sailing after their recent acquisition of The Studer Group, which has all the markings of a excellent acquisition since the two businesses offer perfect synergies allowing spectacular opportunities for future growth in the healthcare business.
