cpac,
In South Korea, the KDS is still in a testing situation. Yes there is a machine being used and evaluated in the process of sludge. It was a few years ago that S Korea had a competition for systems, another system was the winner, but other processes were going to continue to be used, experimented with and studied. The KDS is one that is being looked at for converting the sludge into a sell-able product.
South Korea built their own KDS, however there were parts to the KDS that needed a better quality steel and engineering expertise that was made by Mainland Machinery then shipped to S Korea for assembly with the majority S Korea made KDS.
FASC S. Korea has a license agreement with FASC Canada. If I remember it is a royalty situation.
This is old information I shared a couple years ago with this group. The S. Korea Machine has been operating for quite some time.
