Friend of mine who works with storage said he met with Overland and that they were not impressed with and passed on Overland's products, specifically that their redundancy setup was not up to par with the rest of the industry. "I can tell you as a geek that if Sphere3D is walking into potential customers offices and touting Overland as their back-end, most storage geeks sitting in the meeting will immediately turn their ears off."

I explained that Overland is just one piece of the puzzle, that Glassware is going to be the driving technology for the company. Unfortunately he knows nothing about Glassware, and had never heard of SDS or other currently hot industry trends.

Fairly neutral, in my opinion, without knowledge of Glassware to include in an opinion, despite relatively panning of Overland products. Hopefully Overland knows of it's shortcomings and is working toward solutions. Not sure how much impact Overland will have on the overall company once Glassware is selected to provide solutions to the previously unsolvable problems.
