What about Caffeine? The U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists caffeine as a “multiple purpose generally recognized as safe food substance”. Ask your doctor if you are unsure about the effects of caffeine on your body.
Humans have consumed caffeine since the Stone Age. It’s a naturally occurring substance with some of the best energy producing effects known to man. Common sources of caffeine are the coffee bean, the tea leaf, and the cocoa bean. Caffeine has been proven to ward off drowsiness and improve overall levels of alertness. Keep in mind; too much of anything (including water) tends to be bad for you. Use this substance in moderation for best results.
Caffeine has also been reported to help the human body fight off muscle pain and reduce fatigue during physical activity. We believe this amazing ingredient, when used properly, is one of the best energy and alertness improving substances available.
Bottom line: Don’t consume large quantities and you’re less likely to have negative side effects. Listen to your body and if you have questions consult your doctor. Be sure to read our caution statements and be aware that certain groups of people should avoid caffeine altogether including pregnant or nursing women, people with liver disease, or children under 12 years of age.
