I am surprised that add-in graphics is still as high as 36% for
desktops.

Apparently gaming is driving non-business desktop sales.



I am a Software Engineer, in the office I have a dual-monitor setup with 2560x1440 pixel.

You need two full blown DVI-connectors. This is not possible with Intel onboard.
