Not a scam, rather uncompetitive. It is more expensive for them to accomplish what silkworms are capable of producing. Lab coat types don't come cheap. Their R&D is inhouse and will eat the funds they have at a very fast rate. Amsilk costs were somewhere above $64,000 per kilo. It will be impossible to compete, regardless of fiber properties. Unless they find a niche market specific to their final product, competition will take away their entire market. It cannot work. So expect more delays and editing of focus IMO.
