Much of your perspective comes from Olsen's side of the story I'm sure. Olsen is the same guy who said the channel had tens of thousands of subscribers and growing, and billions in assets, and 'full funding', and 19.5 billion shares o/s, owned the studio, etc, etc... You should have considered your source.
As for your opinion on Olsen's greed, I think most people caught on late last year that he was entirely capable of running this channel into the ground. He'd been lying about his shares the whole time, which was not a good sign; he was also clearly loathe to give up control. I think greed and stupidity were at work there.
