No you are correct you never said a news release would break a trend--it was my thinking that a company like this could have a SUBSTANTIAL news release which could be a game changer and this might reverse a trend without the base-building and all...but like you said, news is received differently when the stock is in different "modes" so anything other than game changers will require the aforementioned "healing".
