try:

you should have been in Houston in the late 70's early 80's to witness the "intelligent" buying that occurred....the only difference now is governments have more $ to spend than good sense..and it is being replaced every day....they are in a hurry to get those $$$$$ into hard assets before they devalue or the market turns down and they have to join the real world wtih the rest of us....what they are willing to pay becomes a function of get to work rather than is this the best price we can get...get control of the asset for we need the raw material in the future...price be damned...it is a different mindset than we are used to but refer to rhe real estate blowoff fueled by the japanese and what happened....pebble beach golf club, rockefeller center, to name a few...sold back to Americans for pennies on the dollar...vs. what they paid for it...

conclusion to this ramble:

the chinese will pay stupid prices for oil right now..we do not have to be in a hurry to sell them anything....geology, closeology, and time is on our side right now...wb and offor can play hardball and get a stupid number in my opinion...and the time value of a stupid pps offsets the wait to develop the asset...imo
