I'm counting on MD Energy closing by next Friday - more likely Monday AH or Tuesday early.

The difference between this and the cell manufacturing is that the acquisition is almost entirely under Jim's control. An acquisition is a much more complex negotiation to pursue and close considering the give-and-take involved and the many logistical challenges involved in dealing with other completely autonomous companies.

With MD Energy - the hardest part already has been completed - they found a company and already have agreed to terms. The due diligence already has been completed and the only remaining issues to be addressed likely are limited to any last-minute true-ups concerning minor accounting updates for in-process projects.

The other potential reason for a delay is that they want to defer the announcement in support of other news to be released together as part of an overall plan but there's really no way for anyone who isn't in the inner-circle to know that for certain.
