That is a completely misleading statement.

They are trying to sell off their division that sells monitoring and other devices. My intuition tells me that they are aware that advancements in diabetes treatment are very close to ending the need for their equipment. The fact that they are not able to find a buyer tells me even more. I trust that the people at Bayer, as well as the other pharma companies who are not buying, know a whole lot more about this than you or me.

To sum up the truth:

Bayer wants to sell their diabetes monitoring and insulin delivery equipment division.

Bayer cannot find a buyer.

Bingo.

Could it be that the Pharmacyte Diabetes Consortium is changing the future of this field of medicine? I believe this quite possible and am thrilled.
