Hi Veblen - You are correct in that "salacious" is normally used to describe something sexually offensive or offensively sexual. I didn't use the adjective literally, but metaphorically. I could've used "provocative", but that would be a neutered connotation of the tone I was trying to describe. I'm sure if I broke out a thesaurus I'd find a better word, but I think I made my point...maybe not?
