NP-1 is the tech that led to the creation of the UltraFlix app. That little box had everything one needed to stream 4k without a 4k smart TV. Now that all the manufacturers are producing 4k smart tv's the NP-1 is no longer needed for the marketplace except in limited capacities (JVC now using them to demo their 4k projectors).

The NP-1 technology, although revolutionary, was passed by within a year's time by market forces. NTEK missed the window (albeit a very small one) to mass produce. Happy they don't have those sitting in mass quantities on shelves in San Jose.
