If this was a regular thing I'd agree but my take is 1 late filing in the last 12 does not destroy credibility. If I use the credit parable you just mentioned, if you have 800 credit rating and you are late on a payment your credit won't drop to 0 which is what you're kind of suggesting it should be now. Just saying.
