5years? Where have you been...plenty longer than that. Plenty.
And where was S-M while IMSC was advancing the State of The Art-- uh, busy with EDS developments...why? Because they didn't believe that little old IMSC would make it thru the promised land.
As you have seen by now, just when you think you know what the TSA wants, some bunkhead develops a new threat that sends the TSA back to the drawing board, which ripples down thru the developer ecosystem, which ends up on our backs. Its the way this rolls.
Look at the new TSA acquisition model- NO IDIQs. Buy what they need when they need it. So the cost of staying in ETD just went up as there is NO replacement cycle carrot waiting.
But in my view, that's a negative for anyone NOT on a QPL or Cargo List and not funded and not leading the way.
And if the cargo sector had an automated ETD system that coupled with an EDS, the cargo approved list would change mighty fast. Swabbing cargo is sooooo inadequate. Guess what, IMSC has that product a coming soon. Will S-M have one? Who knows, they are claiming their desktop system is "so light, you can move it around". Sure. Great. But a swab is still a single time consuming event. So go figure, which looks like S-M have not figured much at all.
