First you have to realize DKAM is mostly a shell. They "coordinate" distribution. And they lose money, lots of it, every quarter. Last quarter they issued 1.7 BILLION shares just to keep the lights on.
And they have massive debt. If they ever got cash flow positive (extremely unlikely), they'd be paying off creditors for the next 200 years.

No doubt the CEO loves having DKAM around because he gets his product distributed at a low cost, because it's funded by death spirals, who are funded by retail stock buyers. He's running it exactly as it should be - for him to benefit.

Competing is intense among humans, and within a group, selfish individuals always win. But in contests between groups, groups of altruists always beat groups of selfish individuals.
