As long as there is momentum going into the R/S there really is no reason to be worried about grabbing share prior to. The only way your shares would be worth less is if the stock were to go down post R/S and if there is momentum and servers running, that won't happen.

There are plenty of traders that will watch, sit back, and wait for the R/S to happen and then jump in and buy.

Either way doesn't matter IMO.
