Yes it's per share at ib but the Max commission is only .05% of trade for example I bought 10k shares of mine for 1$ . But if you are going to trade thousands of dollars at a time I would recommend fidelity you can get them down to 5$ a trade for unlimited shares that's the best your going to get but 8-10$ is terrible
