Going back to your hypothetical about Facebook, the facts surrounding Zuckerberg's scheme would determine if the company was culpable in any way and a judge would determine that. Not a message board guru. Secondly, even if Facebook was never found to be involved, the stock would for sure take a hit on the initial news and throughout the trial. That would be called headline risk.
