They don't need to wait as it will be a free upgrade from W7, W8, and W8.1. Of course some might not want to have to deal with 8.1 at all and they may feel that they should wait.


Sure, but why buy a device with Windows 8 installed if that isn't what you want? If you have to wait for Windows 10 until the second half of this year you can also wait until you buy the device. The hardware isn't going to be worse or more expensive until then. Instead, you don't have to hassle with Windows 8 and a Windows 10 upgrade in the meantime.
