There was no suggestion of submitting false PRs. I believe the statement was more along the lines of the search is ongoing until a candidate signs the acceptance letter. Sure sounds logical to me. I wouldn't want a company I'm invested in to stop looking for a CEO until the dotted line is signed. Seems like more of a concern than assuming someone is locked in and stopping looking. Would you condone that behavior of a company you invest in?
