Ok don't try to educate people on the matter in one sentence. Try doing some reading on the matter. There is different forms of the theory, (i.e. Weak form, Semi-Strong, Strong) I'd say markets are semi-strong in their efficiency. I'm telling you investors already acted on the news of the acquisition. The price already reflects the info.
