Looking Around the Pool Hall.

I'm on the southern set of tables which are in immaculate condition. Perfect felt, bumpers, level and plumb, with excellent lighting overhead.

I might not make every shot, but I can only blame myself not the table when I miss.

Every once in a while a guy from another table will come over and ask if I want to take a shot at a ball on another table. Just yesterday a player on the western tables called me over to look at the barrel of oil ball sitting right next to a corner pocket with the cue ball in the center of the table.

I shook my head and walked away saying...no way!

"Why not?" he asked.

Look at the condition of your table. The felt is ripped and wavey, bumpers are dead, the table leans to the side and four of the five lamps overhead are burned out. Even though the oil ball looks like a duck my cue ball could go anywhere!

I'll catch you in ten or so years after the refinish the table.
