Vitamin C is commonly used to smuggle drugs across the blood-brain barrier but the rabies virus has been suggested as a more efficacious resource.
Obviously there is a problem with infecting anyone or anything with the rabies virus so a portion has been used in experiments.
Even a hint of using the terrifying rabies virus in medicine is - ahh, umm - terrifying no matter how safe it might be. I don't expect that will get on the market real soon but the saliva of the vampire bat that transmits a different kind of rabies to treat stroke patients is getting kinda close.
I would provide a link but my diseased borrowed notebook computer that seems to hate copying is hard on old folks who don't learn new tricks easily.
