I think your assumptions are incorrect to think everything will distributed evenly. When a new product comes out they first find a store brand or two (such as Wallmart) willing to carry it. Then they find a market area to sell it first. Which yes will be around spring break areas. Once proven that SLAM sells and people like it they will grow the market area AND increase production.

They have to enter the market smart and not dive in or they will drown.
