Silver Fondler, I hate to bust your bubble, but Andalay Solar is finished. Finito la musica!!

This Hyundai news was the big news everybody was waiting for. BIG FLOP!

Here's why:

Andalay solar did far too little, faaaar to late and simply missed the train.

This Hyundai PR was released as "last resort" to dump shares and not tank the pps into sub .005 levels. Mission accomplished.

But where does this leave the WEST shareholder? Answer: In a lot of HOVNO.
Massive dilution. If this plug-n-play technology were the answer to having widespread solar adoption, wouldn't Andalay have a backlog of GW's and not 1 miserable MW?

FACTS:
The ONLY benefit/saving Andalay's technology brings to the table is with respect to - labor cost.
HOWEVER, installing a solar system on a roof comprises of several costs of which labor only amounts to a total of about 15% (on average).

Crunching the numbers 101:

Lets take a 4kW installation as an example.
A 4kW system should cost about $16,000. Total cost. ($4/watt)
15% of 16K = $2400
$2400 is the total cost of labor when installing a 4kw system.
Even if we assume that Andalay completely eliminates the cost of labor, and promotes DIY solar then we are looking at only 2400$ in total savings.

This is simply nothing. zip zero. nada.
(I can't imagine who would install solar and opt out of warranties etc. - only crazy folk if you ask me)

The value proposition Andalay Solar brings to the table is small.

If I were Chan, I would be depressed. There are companies that currently install solar and offer much higher savings.

My opinion/disclaimer:
I believe that Andalay solar's plug-n-play tech is great. I don't think Andalay solar will survive alone, without being bought out buy the likes of CSIQ or SPWR... (or even better- SLTD :P )
I sold the last 40,000 shares I was riding for free for .019.
I don't plan on buying back in anytime soon.

My speculative/wishful thinking forecast:
I see the price of Andalay Solar fall substantially in the coming weeks. Perhaps even as low as .001s
Between .001 and .005 we could be a nice target for private firms developing efficient solar panels looking to go public. Reverse split, and (maybe) a chance at the big boards (again). But this very wishful thinking is like hoping you win the lottery - Good luck!
