Early last year the industrial run test with the Chinese company they only achieved 15.7%. After that they sent it to Fraunhofer for refinement to try and achieve the 17-19% efficiency of commercially available cells, however I never saw anything that came out of that (I may have missed it). They did mention some other efficiency measures paying off in the lab however.
Now with the back contacts they have definately met all requirements to go head to head with anything out there today. With the n-type wafers being available generically there may be a perfect storm again for Natcores success. We should see something soon.
