I just got in from taking the dog for a run in the field. The snow here in beautiful and tropical downtown Saint Thomas is about 6 inches or so deep, and the dog had a blast. Temperature is 22, light snow is coming down (probably lake effect type), and the wood supply on the porch is covered with the white stuff. Plenty of firewood and coal for us to ride this one out, so I'm not worried. I am sort of planning to go out to the cabin later today to see how the deer are making it through this. According to one website I check, there is about a foot of snow on the ground out there.
