Punk band to Scott Walker: Stop using our music. 'We literally hate you'
American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys are disgusted that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker chose to use their music for his intro at the Iowa Freedom Summit Saturday.
They're especially peeved because this isn't the first time Walker or his "cronies" have used Dropkick Murphys' music at a political event. Scott Walker apparently didn’t get the memo after punk band the Dropkick Murphys demanded in 2012 that “crony of anti-union Governor Scott Walker,” Republican former Wisconsin Senate candidate Jeff Fitzgerald, stop using their cover of a Woody Guthrie song, ”I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” as his introduction music.
