I sell off the offer.... So with any stock I let the buyers come to me....

Let's say a stock is trading .14 by .145

Lets say the price is going up and I want to start selling. I would not show my real position.

Let's say I had 100k shares to sell. I would look at the bids off level 2... if they are firming with a few large bids I would put 25k shares at .145 and wait.... if I get taken out and now the stock is .145 by .149 I would put another 25k shares at .149 and let them come to me and so on... this way I sell in to an uptrend and maximize my money without ever showing my real position..... If the stock doesn't move up and my offer was taken quickly and I needed the money I would piece it out at .145 until it was gone. If you showed it all at once people will drop the bids knowing there is a block out there.

But to each their own... I prefer to not let anyone see my real position... there are smart guys out there trying to trade around everyone too.....

The above was just an example, it really depends on the tape and how quickly you need your money, etc.....
