After seeing Silverline's post 16503 I felt it was worth to do some further sleuthing work.

IMHO Sphere 3D just announced a “Monster Deal” with Ingram Micro / Promark Technology which I expect will lead to a quick ramp-up of some lucrative earnings for 2015!
Here is what The Channel Register wrote about Ingram Micro late 2014:

Revenues grew 11 per cent to $11.23bn for the period ended September, oiled in no small way by portable device shipments hurtling out of Brightpoint, a business Ingram bought for $850m at the end of 2012.
Technology and Solutions, the classic IT wholesaling arm of Ingram, grew five per cent to more than $9.2bn, but Mobility - the shining star of the show - was up nearly 50 per cent year-on-year to $2bn, the company stated.
Sales in North America leaped by almost a fifth year-on-year to $5.1bn; the Mobility unit expanded by nearly 200 per cent;

Here, another article: “The Truth about Ingram Micro’s Foray into the Cloud Service Provider Space”
Next, based on some DD I learned that Promark Technology signed a distribution deal with Nutanix in July 2013 and in the following year achieved a revenue for Nutanix that was worth about 45% of Nutanix overall revenue of approx $100 Million! Within this period Ingram Micro expanded the cooperation: Nutanix Converged Infrastructure Now Available Through Ingram Micro

With the deal announced today it’s clear to me that Sphere 3D is capable to grab some good chunk of Nutanix business with Ingram and that should be very telling that the current market cap for Sphere 3D is “bizarre” and out of sync with what is happening on the business side.
According recent press articles the current market valuation for Nutanix is estimated at +/- $3 Billion and Nutanix is expected to go for IPO in the near future...

Last but not least, I think we can all appreciate how Ingram Micro as one of the important Channel partners for formerly Overland is now even more valuable for the merged S3D/OVRL company. It proves by itself that the integration of companies is proceeding properly and leading to fruition with Promark starting to sell the V50, V100 and V200 packages and solutions that were recently jointly developed by S3D and OVRL.
