Unless I've read wrongly or my brain's in the twilight zone (it is 1:45am) Cubicin (Dapto) is indicated for gram positive infections, ie: staph and many SSSIs. It can't combat Pneumonia. My understanding is that Brilacidin has potential gram negative efficacy- which immediately opens up a VAST market well beyond that currently served by Vancomycin and Daptomycin. Again, Brilacidin's value is proving difficult to quantify, as the indications could be unusually broad ranging.
