they don't have to release news by way of the stock market. not every business is closed today either. they can release news either through windmill and if windmill is closed today they can release news themselves through either Facebook or Twitter. news today would be great so that everybody could load up after news break and then the asking price is much more tomorrow then what it could be. I doubt Amazonas florestal is closed today since they have their main business in Brazil and not in America. therefore they might operate differently than other American companies.
