Good call on Andrulis. I've been researching that one a lot lately, and it could potentially be our largest settlement. Revenues of Thalomid alone since it's beginning produced $7 to $8 billion dollars. That's just one drug in the suit.

Something else to consider, the heart patents. It's interesting that an analyst report recently gave information on a J&J settlement that produces $450k a quarter. Looking forward to more insight on that one. I believe this was a settlement out of Germany for the heart patents since J&J is not in the business of kyphoplasty. This might have been one of the acquired royalities mentioned in the PR. This one settlement will produce $15 million over the life of the patent. Looking forward to the upcoming 10k to tell more of the story.

You are correct that the rulings will take time for the markman, but the claim construction hearing will be pretty telling to the parties involved what the outcome will be. We might see settlements before any rulings are given.

The figures you give for the Apple case I believe would be the settlement range. I believe it will be over $100 million if goes to trial and we are successful.
