No chain puts a new product in all of its stores at once, ever. Shelf/floor space is valuable. Every chain does a test run first, whether it's 1% of stores or 5% of stores is irrelevant. If the test goes well they will reorder and up the percent of stores the product goes into. If that step goes well the % increases and so and so forth.
If a 2nd distribution deal gets announced in the next few weeks with a new distributor for a different area, you can bet the test is going well. These next few weeks will be key.
