Maybe it's just the worst call ever or maybe there are more to these articles than meets the EYE.

EBS, I agree. This Adam Gefvert CFA guy made an incredibly bad call. If you read the comment section, you will how see the smart investors, the true DD'ers, called him out, knowing that Inhibitex's INX-189 was a real trouble maker for the Hep C market. Gilead knew they were going to cede at least 40% of the market to other nucleoside analogues, so all the BP's were nervous about WHO was going to capture that.

Now you have to wonder if the author MIGHT have had an ulterior motive. Get everyone to sell, drive the PPS down, (it went down to $7.25 pps not long after the article), then back up the truck to load up on shares, knowing that INX-189 posed a real threat and would very likely be bought out.

Well, that's exactly what happened. From $7.25 to $26 buyout pps in the span OF LESS THAN A MONTH.

What does this have to do with PPHM? Well, everything. It shows definitively what BPs will do to keep the competition away from potentially market-chomping drugs.

This is right up Biopharm's alley. Bavi makes other BP drugs work better, so in my view, there will a vicious dogfight for it. BPs will be mortified that some OTHER BP will get their hands on it and shut them out. It will all make the INHX buyout look like peanuts. I think your idea that BMS won't let Bavi go if it improves Yervoy significantly is SPOT ON. Look, they've done it before (with INHX); they could easily do it again with PPHM.

So, in summary, I agree with you. Everything is a game, and hired guns could very well be out there to convince you to sell at the exact moment you should hold. Think more Robert "time-to-thrown-in-the-towel" Schwartz articles on PPHM in the future. I hope everyone will remember that going forward.

Best,

Joe
