This statement is an indictment on the entire industry and how effectiveness is measured. Not just ELTP, not just pain medications, but the effectiveness of any comfort drugs by any company.

That's not a worry about the ELTP technology specifically if the principle of measurement of comfort / euphoria is your issue. That has nothing to do with ELTP and everything to do with all studies that measure anything non-finite or "subjective" as you put it. In that case doctors should never ask patients or trial participants how any drug makes them feel bc it's simply "subjective" and can't be measured. This would also make 75% of side effects a moot point as they are largely unmeasurable.
